Description
The hotel is seeking a Banquet Kitchen Supervisor to oversee and coordinate food preparation and service for group events, conferences, and banquets. This role supports daily kitchen operations while ensuring the successful execution of larger-scale functions that exceed regular staffing capacity.
Job Start date: June 2026
Hours: Permanente, Full-time ( 32 hours/week)
Schedule: Early mornings, evenings, weekends.
Job Duties
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of kitchen staff during banquet and event service
• Assist with food preparation and cooking for large groups and events as required
• Plan, organize, and oversee banquet food production and service timelines
• Ensure food quality, portion control, presentation, and compliance with health and safety standards
• Coordinate with management to determine event requirements, menus, and service expectations
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies
• Train, support, and provide guidance to kitchen staff
• Resolve work-related issues and ensure smooth kitchen operations during events
• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals in accordance with event schedules
Requirement
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to reliably commute to the workplace for scheduled shifts
• Experience in kitchen operations and food preparation
• Previous supervisory or team coordination experience is an asset
• Ability to work under pressure in high-volume environments
• Strong organizational and time management skills
Language:
• French or English
Education:
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent
Work Conditions
• Fast-paced kitchen environment
• Physically demanding (standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 kg)
• Work schedules vary depending on event bookings
