Johnston Packers (1995) Ltd. (dba Johnston's) is a pork processing plant located at 5828 Promontory Rd. in Chilliwack, BC, V2R 4M4. We are looking for 5 Industrial Butchers & Meat Cutters to join our team! Full-time, permanent position, 5 days per week. Hourly wages are $21.92 to $25.46, 40 hours/week. Other benefits as per Collective Agreement: extended health, dental, and vision benefits, group insurance including long term disability and life insurance.

Duties: Slaughter hogs and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses. Cut pork carcasses or sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packaging, cut, trim, and prepare meats into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use, remove bones from meat. Work in slaughter floor and/or refrigerated area.

Essential skills: Knife skills. Oral communication in English. Working with others, job task planning and organizing, continuous learning.

Experience and Education: Minimum 1 year of experience. Completion of high school or equivalent.
